Comparison review
The Google Pixel Slate is much better than the Microsoft Surface RT, having a global score of 79.3 against 58.4. Google Pixel Slate's body is a lot newer and noticeably thinner than the Microsoft Surface RT's, but it is also a little heavier. Google Pixel Slate works with Chrome OS OS, while Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT OS.
Microsoft Surface RT features a bit better processing unit than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has lesser RAM, it also counts with more cpu cores (but slower) and an additional GPU. The Google Pixel Slate has a much better looking screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a lot better pixels amount per display inch, a bigger screen and a lot higher resolution of 3000 x 2000.
The Google Pixel Slate features a very superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Google Pixel Slate takes way better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Google Pixel Slate also has a lot more MP camera in the back.
The Google Pixel Slate and Microsoft Surface RT have similar batteries.
Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Google Pixel Slate, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Microsoft Surface RT, giving up a couple features and specs.
