Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a little bit better than Microsoft Surface RT, getting a 62.7 score against 58.4. Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Microsoft Surface RT were only released 4 months apart, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's body is a little bit thicker but somewhat lighter. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has Android 4.0 operating system, and Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT operating system.
The Microsoft Surface RT counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a faster 520 MHz GPU, 2 more CPU cores and a higher amount of RAM. The Microsoft Surface RT and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 both have quite similar screens, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a bit smaller display and a quite lower 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch in the screen.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 takes much better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a way more mega pixels back facing camera. Microsoft Surface RT features much more memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Microsoft Surface RT. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Microsoft Surface RT, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
