The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a score of 61.7, which is slightly better than Microsoft Surface RT's 58.4 overall score. Even though Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE and Microsoft Surface RT were released with only a couple months difference, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE body is just a bit thicker but also noticeably lighter than Microsoft Surface RT. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE works with Android 4.1 operating system, while Microsoft Surface RT works with Windows RT operating system.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE features a slightly better looking screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a way worse resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a bit better amount of pixels per inch of screen. The Microsoft Surface RT counts with a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a much better 520 megahertz graphics processor, a greater amount of RAM memory and more CPU cores.

The Microsoft Surface RT features a much better storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal memory. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE features a way better battery performance than Microsoft Surface RT. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE counts with a very superior camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1280x720 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE also has a way higher 3.2 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE costs a little more money than Microsoft Surface RT, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
