Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has an overall score of 68.5, which is a bit better than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1's general score of 65.5. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has the newer 4.2.2 version and Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 has Android 3.2 version, giving you some extra features and optimized performance. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 design is newer, somewhat thinner and noticeably lighter than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a much better looking display than Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a way better pixel density. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 both have very similar storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, both of them have equal internal storage capacity.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 captures much clearer pictures and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a much smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for capturing pictures in low-light environments and a camera in the back with a much worse 5 mega-pixels resolution.
