Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is slightly better than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, getting a 66.3 score against 62.6. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a a lot heavier device than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, but both of them have the same thickness. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a newer 4.4 version while Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has Android 4.0.
Galaxy Note 10.1 features a processing unit that's very similar to Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2's CPU, because although the Galaxy Note 10.1 has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and also faster) and more RAM memory. The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 counts with a brighter display than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also counts with a just a little higher number of pixels in each inch in the screen.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 32 GB and more internal memory capacity. Galaxy Note 10.1 features a way better battery life than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a 7000mAh battery size against 3960mAh.
The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 captures much better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 10.1. Both of them have a back facing camera with a 5 mega-pixels, the same video frame rate and the same video resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, giving up some features and specs.
