Galaxy Tab A8 has a general score of 62.6, which is just a bit better than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2's 62.6 score. Although the Galaxy Tab A8 is extremely heavier than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, it's much thinner and extremely newer. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab A8 has a newer 11 version while Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has Android 4.0 version, so it offers lots of additional features.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 features a much more powerful processor than Galaxy Tab A8, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and an inferior number of cores , it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 features a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, although it has a way smaller screen, a just a bit worse screen pixel density and a way lower 800 x 1280px resolution.

The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab A8, although it has a way less mega-pixels camera in the back. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 features a much better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 also has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 features a superior battery performance than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a 7040mAh battery size against 3960mAh.
