Comparison review

The Xperia Tablet Z is a little bit better than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, getting a global score of 68.5 against 62.6. Even though the Xperia Tablet Z is noticeably heavier than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, it's extremely thinner and newer. Both of these tablets use Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia Tablet Z has a newer 4.4.4 version while Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has Android 4.0 version, so it offers a couple nice extra features and increased performance.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a little better processing power than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because although it has a weaker 400 megahertz graphics co-processor, it also counts with more RAM and a higher number of cores (and they are faster). Sony Xperia Tablet Z has just a bit better screen than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a just a bit higher pixel density, a way better 1200 x 1920 resolution and a larger display.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has a bit better camera than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a much worse 1280x720 (HD) video definition and a way lower resolution back-facing camera. Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 64 GB.

The Xperia Tablet Z has a way better battery lifetime than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a 52% greater battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is way more expensive than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, otherwise you can save some money and get the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, letting go a couple specifications.
