Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is better than the Motorola Xoom 2, with a general score of 68.7 against 57.4. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch construction is newer, somewhat thinner and lighter than the Motorola Xoom 2. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has the newer 4.2.2 version while Motorola Xoom 2 has Android 3.2.
Motorola Xoom 2 features just a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a bit less pixels per screen inch, and they both have the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution, the Motorola Xoom 2 also counts with a larger screen. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a way bigger storage to install applications and games than Motorola Xoom 2, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 64 GB.
