These tablets have Android OS, but Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has a newer 8.1 Oreo version while Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition has Android 3.2. Although Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is much heavier than Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition, it's a little bit thinner and way newer.
