The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a general score of 62.8, which is slightly better than the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition's 60.4 general score. These tablets use Android OS, but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has the newer 7.1 Nougat version and Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition has Android 3.2. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a much newer tablet, and it's also somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter than Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a bit faster CPU than Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with more 1200 megahertz processing cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.
