Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is better than the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, getting a 61.4 score against 55.1. Both tablets in this review include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has 4.1 version while Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi has Android 4.1.2. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)'s construction is newer, extremely thinner and lighter than the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi.
Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) count with quite similar screens, both of them have a higher pixel count per inch of display, a screen with the same size and an equal 800 x 1280 resolution. The Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi counts with a superior memory to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has an external memory card slot that supports up to 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a processor that's very similar to the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi one, they have 1 GB of RAM and the same number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a much better battery life than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi. Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi has just a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi also has a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) costs a little more money than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
