Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has an overall score of 58.1, which is a bit better than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi's 55.1 general score. Both devices in this comparison include Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has the older 3.0 version and Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi has Android 4.1.2. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a notably thinner and much lighter tablet than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, although both were released with only a couple months difference.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a brighter screen than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have the same 800 x 1280px resolution, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a bit higher screen density.
