Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE is slightly better than the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, having a score of 58.8 against 55.1. Both of these tablets use Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has older 4.0 version while Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi has Android 4.1.2. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE body is noticeably thinner and noticeably lighter than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, although they were released with only a couple months difference.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has a bit more powerful processor than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi. Both have the same number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE features a better looking display than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display.

The Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi features a much better storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 32 GB and more internal storage. Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has a very superior battery duration than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi. Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi shoots a lot better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video definition, the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi also has a camera in the back with a much better resolution.
