The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a score of 58.1, which is just a bit better than the Motorola XOOM's 55.9 overall score. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a notably thinner and much lighter device than the Motorola XOOM, although both were released only a couple of months apart. Both devices in this comparison have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 8.9 has older 3.0 version and Motorola XOOM has Android 4.0 version.
