Comparison review

The Sony Tablet P has a general score of 55.7, which is just a bit better than the Panasonic Toughpad A1's 51.9 overall score. Both tablets in this review work with Android operating system, but the Sony Tablet P has a newer 4.0.3 version while Panasonic Toughpad A1 has Android 3.2 version. Sony Tablet P is a thinner and noticeably lighter portable tablet than Panasonic Toughpad A1, even when they were released with only a couple months difference.

Sony Tablet P counts with a little sharper screen than Panasonic Toughpad A1, because although it has a really smaller display and a much lower resolution of 480 x 1024px, it also counts with way more pixels per screen inch. Panasonic Toughpad A1 counts with a little better processing power than Sony Tablet P. Both have the same number of cores and 1 GB of RAM.

Panasonic Toughpad A1 has a much better storage capacity for games and applications than Sony Tablet P, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 32 GB, the Panasonic Toughpad A1 also has more internal memory. The Panasonic Toughpad A1 features a superior battery performance than Sony Tablet P, because it has a 49% larger battery size.

The Panasonic Toughpad A1 counts with just a bit better camera than Sony Tablet P. They have a 5 megapixels resolution back camera.

Sony Tablet P costs a bit more money than Panasonic Toughpad A1, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
