Comparison review
Apple iPad 3 is a bit better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, having a 71.1 score against 65. The Apple iPad 3 comes with iOS 6.1 OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 comes with Windows 8 OS. Even being the best tablet in our current comparison, the Apple iPad 3 body is older, somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
The iPad 3 features a better screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way better pixels amount per inch in the screen and a lot higher resolution of 1536 x 2048. The Apple iPad 3 has as much memory capacity to install applications and games as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although the Apple iPad 3 has no SD card slot, they both have equal internal storage.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a bit faster processing unit than iPad 3, and although they both have a Dual-Core processor, the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 also has 1 GB more RAM memory. The Apple iPad 3 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Both of them have the same video frame rate, the same (Full HD) video definition and a same resolution camera.
IPad 3 counts with a superior battery lifetime than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Apple iPad 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Apple iPad 3, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up a couple specs and features.
