The iPad mini 3 has a general score of 77.5, which is better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3's overall score of 65. IPad mini 3 has iOS 8.x OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 works with Windows 8 OS. IPad mini 3 is a newer device, and it is also extremely lighter and just a little thinner than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. The iPad mini 3 counts with a more vivid screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1536 x 2048px and a way greater number of pixels per screen inch.
The iPad mini 3 features a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have 2 CPU cores, the iPad mini 3 also counts with an additional graphics processing unit and a 64-bit CPU. The iPad mini 3 counts with a much greater storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory.
IPad mini 3 has a greater camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Both have the same video frame rate, the same video definition and a 5 megapixels resolution back camera. The iPad mini 3 has a very superior battery duration than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although iPad mini 3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
