Galaxy Note 8.0 is just a bit better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, with a 69.2 score against 65. Galaxy Note 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 works with Windows 8 OS. Even when Galaxy Note 8.0 and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 were only released 4 months apart, Galaxy Note 8.0 is noticeably lighter and a little thinner.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has a little bit less pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a bigger screen and a slightly higher 768 x 1366 resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also has an additional graphics processor and a greater number of cores.
Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a lot bigger memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy Note 8.0 features a really longer battery performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 captures much better photos and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. They have the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, a same resolution back facing camera and the same video frame rate.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up some specs and features.
