Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a global score of 66.2, which is a little bit better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3's 65 global score. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with Android 4.4.2 OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 comes with Windows 8 OS. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's body is newer, just a little thinner and a lot lighter than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a little sharper screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a way smaller screen and a bit lower 1280 x 800 resolution, it also counts with a just a little better pixel number per inch in the screen. Samsung ATIV Tab 3 and Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 count with incredibly similar processing units, because although the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processor and more cpu cores (although slower).
The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a way bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a superior camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, although it has a lot less MP resolution back facing camera and a much worse video resolution.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a very superior battery life than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up some features and specifications.
