The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is slightly better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, with a 68.3 score against 65. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) works with Android 8.1 Oreo OS, while Samsung ATIV Tab 3 comes with Windows 8 OS. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) design is newer and extremely lighter than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3's, although it's a little bit thicker.
Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a little faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), although it has a lower number of cores , they both have the same RAM amount. Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because although it has a little bit less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a slightly better 768 x 1366 resolution and a larger screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a lot better camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Both have the same video quality, the same video frame rates and the same resolution camera in the back. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung ATIV Tab 3, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
