Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a general score of 75.2, which is much better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3's 65 global score. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a thinner and lighter portable tablet than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, even when they were only released 7 months apart. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 OS, while Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has Windows 8 OS.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a much more vibrant display than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 2560 x 1600 resolution and a way greater pixels quantity per inch of display. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a slightly bigger memory to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a more powerful processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has a higher number of cores and a graphics co-processor. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 shoots a lot better photos and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has a much more mega-pixels camera in the back.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a really longer battery life than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, letting go some specifications.
