Comparison review
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has an overall score of 69.2, which is better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's global score of 60.8. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is a better portable tablet than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, it must be noted that it is also an older, somewhat thicker and a lot heavier portable tablet. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has Windows 8 OS, while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 OS.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a much sharper screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a much smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater amount of pixels per inch of display and a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a quite superior processing power than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has a greater number of cores and a graphics processing unit.
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, because it has 128 GB internal memory. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a much longer battery life than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 shoots way better photographs and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
