Comparison review
The Samsung Ativ Tab is much better than Acer Iconia W511, with a score of 66.7 against 59.5. The Samsung Ativ Tab is a a little lighter tablet device than Acer Iconia W511, but they are 0.35inches thick. These tablets come with Windows operating system, but the Samsung Ativ Tab has a newer RT version and Acer Iconia W511 has Windows 8 Pro, providing you some nice extra features.
Acer Iconia W511 has a little bit better screen than Samsung Ativ Tab. Both have a same size screen, the same number of pixels in each display inch and the same exact resolution of 768 x 1366 pixels. The Acer Iconia W511 has as much memory capacity to install games and applications as the Samsung Ativ Tab one, they have exactly the same internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 64 GB.
The Samsung Ativ Tab features a little faster processor than Acer Iconia W511, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM and the same number of cores, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has an extra GPU. The Samsung Ativ Tab features a really longer battery life than Acer Iconia W511, because it has 8200mAh of battery capacity.
Acer Iconia W511 shoots a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has a lot better resolution back facing camera.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it is way more expensive than Acer Iconia W511, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia W511. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Acer Iconia W511, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
