The Samsung Ativ Tab is slightly better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, getting a global score of 66.7 against 60.8. The Samsung Ativ Tab comes with Windows RT operating system, and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 comes with Android 4.2.2 operating system. Samsung Ativ Tab is a a lot heavier tablet device than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, but both have the same thickness.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a way better display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better 1200 x 1920px resolution and a lot better screen density. Samsung Ativ Tab has much more memory capacity for games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a little faster processing unit than Samsung Ativ Tab, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has a much better 450 MHz graphics co-processor and more cpu cores. Samsung Ativ Tab has a much longer battery life than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
