Comparison review

The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a general score of 75.8, which is better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's score of 67.9. Even being the best tablet we are comparing here, we must highlight that it's also older, extremely heavier and a little bit thicker. These tablets work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 version, giving some nice extra features.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a bit better CPU than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also has 1 GB more RAM and a graphics processing unit. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a bit sharper display than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a quite greater display pixels density.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features a superior battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014). They have the same 1920x1080 video quality, the same resolution back camera and the same video frame rate.
