Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a global score of 75.8, which is much better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's global score of 68.5. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a much heavier tablet device than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, but both of them have the same thickness. Both of these devices have Android OS, but Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has newer 4.4.2 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.2.2.
