Comparison review

Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a lot better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, with a 75.8 score against 61.2. Both devices in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a newer 4.4.2 version while Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4, so it provides some extra features and enhanced performance. Even being the best tablet in this comparison, Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is an older, just a bit thicker and extremely heavier tablet than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a bit faster CPU than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also has 1 GB more RAM and an additional graphics processor. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a little sharper screen than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a just a bit higher pixels quantity per inch in the screen, a larger screen and a better resolution of 1600 x 2560.

Asus MeMO Pad 8's memory for games and applications is very similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014)'s one, they have an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB and equal 32 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) counts with a much longer battery duration than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a slightly better camera than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a back facing camera with much more MP and a way better (Full HD) video quality.

Although Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Asus MeMO Pad 8. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
