Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, having a score of 75.8 against 65. Even when Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) and the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 were only released with a few months difference, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a little bit lighter and just a little bit thinner. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) works with Android 4.4.2 operating system, while Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has Windows 8 operating system.
Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a quite better hardware performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has a higher amount of RAM, a higher number of cores (and faster) and a graphics processing unit. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features a sharper display than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have a same size display, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also has a lot greater number of pixels per screen inch and a way better resolution of 1600 x 2560.
Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) shoots much clearer photos and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also has a back camera with a way higher 8 MP resolution. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has a little bit better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.

Although Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), else you can save some dollars and get the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, resigning a couple features and specs.
