Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), with a 75.8 score against 60.4. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is an a lot older and much heavier portable tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), but Samsung was able to build it just a bit thinner anyway. Both of these tablets include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has an older 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a greater number of pixels per screen inch, a way better 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution and a really bigger screen. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits 136 GB smaller, it also counts with 24 GB more internal memory.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a quite better processing power than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also has a higher amount of RAM and an extra GPU. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features a really longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has 8220mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) takes a little bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), although it has a much lower 5 mega-pixels resolution camera and a much lower video resolution.
Although Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab A (2016). If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A (2016), giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
