Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a little bit better than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, having a 75.8 score against 74.3. Despite being the best tablet in this comparison, Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is an older, somewhat thicker and heavier tablet than the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. Both tablets in this review include the same Android 4.4.2 OS, so they should give you all the same OS features.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) counts with a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster), and they both have 3 GB of RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also counts with an extra graphics processing unit.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1600 x 2560 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also counts with a just a bit more pixels per display inch. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a slightly better memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a bit longer battery life than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because it has 8220mAh of battery capacity. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 takes better photos and videos than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014). They have the same video frame rates, the same (Full HD) video definition and the same resolution back camera.

Although Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, resigning some features and specifications.
