Both tablets in our current comparison use Android OS, but the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has the newer 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3, so it provides you some additional features and performance improvements. Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)'s body is much newer and notably thinner than the Galaxy Tab's, but it is also way heavier.
