Galaxy Note 10.1 has an overall score of 66.3, which is better than the Google Nexus 7's 59.3 score. The Galaxy Note 10.1 construction is thinner but incredibly heavier than the Google Nexus 7, and both of them were released with only a few months difference. These devices include Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Note 10.1 has the older 4.4 version and Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1 version.

The Google Nexus 7 features a better looking display than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Google Nexus 7 also counts with a higher pixels density. The Galaxy Note 10.1 has a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Google Nexus 7, because it has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage capacity.

The Google Nexus 7 features a little better processing power than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Google Nexus 7 also counts with a graphics processing unit. The Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a much better battery performance than Google Nexus 7, because it has a 7000mAh battery size.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 captures much better photographs and videos than Google Nexus 7.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Nexus 7. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Nexus 7, letting go a couple features and specifications.
