Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a general score of 66.3, which is much better than Galaxy Tab 8.9's overall score of 58.1. Both tablets in this comparison review use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has newer 4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0 version. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1's construction is newer, but extremely heavier and just a little bit thicker than Galaxy Tab 8.9.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 features just a bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have an equal 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a little better pixel density. Galaxy Note 10.1 has a greater hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a greater number of cores.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a quite bigger storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 32 GB. Galaxy Tab 8.9 takes a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, although it has a lot less megapixels resolution back-facing camera and a lower 1280x720 video definition.
Galaxy Note 10.1 features superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
