The Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has a global score of 63, which is slightly better than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8's global score of 62.3. Although it's the best device in this comparison review, the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is a thicker and much heavier device than the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. Both tablets we are comparing here work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has a more recent 4.4.2 version and Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has Android 4.4, so it provides you a lot of extra features and optimized performance.
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with a lot better display than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has a lot smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a much better display density. Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with a better processing power than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 also has a greater number of cores (and they are faster) and an extra graphics processor.
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has a camera that is just as good as the camera in Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, both have a back-facing camera with a 5 mega-pixels. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has much more storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. Both of them have equal 16 GB internal storage.
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features a superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE.
Although Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is a better device, it costs a lot more than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, resigning a couple specifications.
