Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, getting a general score of 63 against 58.1. Even though the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is newer than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, it's a lot heavier and a little bit thicker. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has newer 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0 version.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has a better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a larger number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have an equal 800 x 1280 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a little bit higher pixel density.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a much better storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. The Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (HD) video quality, the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE also has a lot more mega-pixels back camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a very superior battery performance than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE.

Although Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 8.9. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Galaxy Tab 8.9, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
