Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Note 8.0, with a 73.3 score against 67.1. Both tablets in this review include the same Android 4.4.2 operating system. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a newer tablet, and it is also thinner and somewhat lighter than Galaxy Note 8.0. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a way better screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a bit larger screen, a much higher display pixel density and a much higher resolution of 2560 x 1600.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a bit bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal memory, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 128 GB. The Galaxy Note 8.0 features a little faster processor than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and 4 lesser and slower CPU cores, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a much better resolution camera. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a little longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has 4900mAh of battery capacity.
Even being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is also by far the cheapest.
