Comparison review

Galaxy Note 8.0 is slightly better than Microsoft Surface 2, with a 69.2 score against 63.4. Galaxy Note 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 OS, and Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS. Galaxy Note 8.0 is a somewhat thinner and much lighter tablet than Microsoft Surface 2, even though they were released with only a couple months difference.

Microsoft Surface 2 has a little bit better display than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a lot better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a just a little better pixel density and a really larger display. The Microsoft Surface 2 has a superior storage to install applications and games than Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a bit faster CPU than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory and 4 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also has an extra GPU. The Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a way better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 2. Galaxy Note 8.0 features a better camera than Microsoft Surface 2. Both of them have the same video resolution, the same video frame rates and the same resolution camera.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is not only the best tablets in our comparison, but it's also by far the cheapest, which makes this tablet an obvious call.
