Galaxy Note 8.0 is better than Microsoft Surface RT, getting a 69.2 score against 58.4. Galaxy Note 8.0 is a somewhat thinner and incredibly lighter device than Microsoft Surface RT, even though both of them were only released 8 months apart. Galaxy Note 8.0 comes with Android 4.4.2 OS, and Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT OS.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features a bit better processing power than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a better graphics co-processor working at 1064 megahertz. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a little bit better looking screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a much smaller display and a bit lower 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a higher count of pixels per screen inch.

Microsoft Surface RT features a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. The Galaxy Note 8.0 features a way better camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same (HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels.

Galaxy Note 8.0 has a much longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface RT.

Galaxy Note 8.0 is a lot more expensive than Microsoft Surface RT, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
