Galaxy Note 8.0 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), getting a score of 69.2 against 65. Although the Galaxy Note 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) were released with only a few months difference, the Galaxy Note 8.0 is way lighter and thinner. Both of these devices work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Note 8.0 has a newer 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has Android 4.1 version, so it provides the user a lot of extra features and optimized performance.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a display that's very similar to the display in Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because although the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a just a bit less pixels per inch in the screen, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, it also counts with a bigger display.
Galaxy Note 8.0 features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has 1 GB more RAM, 2 more processing cores and a better graphics co-processor working at 1064 MHz. Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a bit bigger storage to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same internal memory, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 64 GB.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with a much longer battery life than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4600mAh. Galaxy Note 8.0 shoots way better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a camera with a much better 5 mega pixels resolution.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 costs a bit more money than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
