Galaxy Note 8.0 is much better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, with a 69.2 score against 62.8. Both of these tablets use Android operating system, but Galaxy Note 8.0 has an older 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat version. Galaxy Note 8.0's body is much older, a little bit thicker and just a little bit heavier than Galaxy Tab A 8.0.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have 4 processing cores, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has an extra graphics processing unit and 512 MB more RAM memory. Galaxy Note 8.0 features a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a just a little higher pixel amount in each inch in the display and a slightly higher 800 x 1280px resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has a superior camera than Galaxy Tab A 8.0. Both of them have the same (HD) video resolution, the same video frame rate and a same resolution camera. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 features a slightly bigger memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 128 GB.
Galaxy Note 8.0 has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a 4600mAh battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
