Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a global score of 70, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0's 69.2 global score. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 design is noticeably newer than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0's, although it is a lot thicker and somewhat heavier. These devices have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 version.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a slightly better display than Galaxy Tab Active 2. They have the same exact resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the same pixels density and a same size screen. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a superior memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has 1 GB less RAM and 4 lesser 1600 megahertz cores, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a little better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a 3% greater battery capacity.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a back camera with lot more mega-pixels and a much better video resolution.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Note 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note 8.0. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab Active 2, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Note 8.0, letting go some features and specifications.
