Galaxy Tab Active Pro has an overall score of 77.5, which is better than Galaxy Note 8.0's global score of 69.2. Both devices we are comparing here have Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Active Pro has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Note 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 version, giving a couple nice extra features. The Galaxy Tab Active Pro body is newer than Galaxy Note 8.0's, but it's heavier and a lot thicker.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro feature extremely similar screens, although the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro also has a way higher 1200 x 1920 resolution, a little bit higher pixels density and a bigger screen. Galaxy Note 8.0 has just a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab Active Pro, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and an inferior number of cores, it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro counts with a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has more internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy Tab Active Pro shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a back camera with much more megapixels and a way higher video quality.
The Galaxy Tab Active Pro has a much longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a 65% bigger battery size.
Although Galaxy Tab Active Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
