Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is just a bit better than Galaxy Note 8.0, having a 69.8 score against 69.2. Both tablets in this comparison review use Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet has 4.4.4 version while Galaxy Note 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 version, counting with some nice extra features and increased performance. The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet design is newer and thinner, but extremely heavier than Galaxy Note 8.0.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet features a brighter display than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels, a bit better pixel density and a larger display. The Xperia Z2 Tablet features as much memory capacity to install applications and games as the Galaxy Note 8.0 one, both of them have a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 64 GB and the same internal storage capacity.
Xperia Z2 Tablet counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has a slower graphics processor, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Z2 Tablet also counts with more RAM. The Xperia Z2 Tablet features superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a 30% larger battery size.
Galaxy Note 8.0 features a bit better camera than Xperia Z2 Tablet, although it has a way worse (HD) video resolution and a back-facing camera with a much worse 5 MP resolution.
