Comparison review

Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is a lot better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, getting a overall score of 78.2 against 60.8. Although the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 were released with only 3 months difference, the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 body is somewhat thinner but much heavier than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. Both of these tablets work with Android operating system, but Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has newer 4.4 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2, counting with some nice extra features.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, because although it has a lot lower resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a much smaller display, it also counts with a greater screen density. Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 features a superior memory capacity for apps and games than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 64 GB.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a processing unit that is very similar to the CPU in Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, and although the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have a 450 megahertz GPU and the same number of cores. The Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 features a much longer battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

The Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 takes way better photos and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

The Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 costs a lot more money than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, but you can get a much better tablet for that few extra dollars.
