Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is way better than Galaxy Tab 8.9, having a overall score of 78.2 against 58.1. Both devices in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has the newer 4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it provides the user a couple additional features and some performance improvements. The Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 body is much newer and just a little bit thinner than Galaxy Tab 8.9's, although it is also heavier.

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 features a better looking display than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a much bigger display, a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a greater quantity of pixels per screen inch. Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has a much greater memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 64 GB.

Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 counts with a very superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a graphics co-processor and a larger number of cores. Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a much better 1920x1080 video quality and a camera with a much better 8 megapixels resolution.
