Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 10.1 has an overall score of 58.1, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 8.9's 58.1 score. These tablets work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has newer 4.0.4 version while Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0 version, so it offers some nice extra features and better performance. Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a somewhat heavier tablet device than Galaxy Tab 8.9, but they are equally thin.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a CPU that is just as good as the processor in Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, both of them have the same number of cores. Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a bit higher count of pixels in each display inch.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 takes much better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same resolution back camera, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 also has a lot higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution. Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has more internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features just a little bit longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a 13 percent greater battery size.
Although Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab 8.9. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab 10.1, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 8.9, letting go a couple specifications.
