Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a bit better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, having a 58.1 score against 57.6. Both of these devices use Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 10.1 has older 4.0.4 version and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Although Galaxy Tab 10.1 is better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, we must tell that it's also an a lot older, notably heavier and a little thicker device.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher pixels amount per inch in the screen and a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has just 16 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that holds up to 128 GB.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has a greater number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features improved battery life than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because it has a 33% greater battery capacity. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD shoots way better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have the same video definition, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has higher 30 frames per second video frame rates and a back camera with a way higher resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, letting go a couple specs and features.
