Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a little bit better than the Google Nexus 7, having a 65 score against 59.3. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has the previous 4.1 version while Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1 version. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s construction is extremely heavier but a little thinner than Google Nexus 7, and they were released with only 3 months difference.

The Google Nexus 7 counts with a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution, the Google Nexus 7 also counts with more pixels per inch in the screen. The Google Nexus 7 features a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Google Nexus 7 also has a higher number of cores (although slower) and a much better graphics processing unit working at 416 MHz.

Google Nexus 7 has a slightly bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 16 GB more internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) captures greater pictures and videos than Google Nexus 7. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a much longer battery lifetime than Google Nexus 7, because it has a 7000mAh battery size instead of 4325mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Nexus 7. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Google Nexus 7, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
