Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has 4.1 version and LG G Pad 8.0 has Android 5.0.

The LG G Pad 8.0's processor is very similar to the processing unit in Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although the LG G Pad 8.0 has a higher number of cores (but slower) and a faster 450 megahertz GPU, they both have 1 GB of RAM. LG G Pad 8.0 counts with a little more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a lot smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1280 x 800px resolution, the LG G Pad 8.0 also counts with more pixels per display inch.

The LG G Pad 8.0 has a slightly better memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same 16 GB internal storage capacity, the LG G Pad 8.0 also has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 64 GB. The LG G Pad 8.0 shoots better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the LG G Pad 8.0 also has a camera in the back with a lot better 5 MP resolution.

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a much better battery life than LG G Pad 8.0, because it has a 67 percent larger battery size.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG G Pad 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the LG G Pad 8.0. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy LG G Pad 8.0, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
