The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is better than Galaxy Tab 8.9, getting a score of 65 against 58.1. Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is newer than the Galaxy Tab 8.9, it is somewhat thicker and incredibly heavier. These tablets work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has the newer 4.1 version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it provides you a couple additional features and some performance improvements.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 shoots clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). They have the same (HD) video quality, a camera in the back with a 3 MP resolution and the same video frame rates.

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity.
